Is becoming a Belly Up contributor a franchise?

No. Belly Up is still proving the model city by city before taking on anything with that kind of legal structure. Contributors join a local team and share in what that team earns. If Belly Up ever moves toward licensing or franchising in the future, that will come with real legal terms at the time, not a vague promise today.
